About Brian Ngan

With over 20 years of work experience, I am a seasoned accounting and billing specialist with a passion for project management and cost control. I have a strong background in accounts payable, invoice processing, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. I enjoy working with diverse teams and stakeholders, and I am always eager to learn new skills and technologies. I am currently looking for new opportunities to apply my expertise and contribute to the success of an organization that values innovation, collaboration, and excellence. In my most recent role as a Project Accountant at Midwest Pipelines, I was responsible for mentoring and leading a team simultaneously on two major projects worth $1.3B and $400M. I assisted multiple departments regarding cost inquiries, coded invoices and daily tickets for signing by the Project Manager and Project Director, and facilitated additional tasks directed by them. I also pioneered and implemented plans to complete tasks more efficiently, assisted with budgets and work breakdown structures to manage expenditures, maintained accurate reporting and tracking of the project’s costs against planned and actual costs, and ensured tickets and invoices were processed in a timely manner by the team. I used various tools and systems, such as SAP, SharePoint 365, PowerBI, and EHSM, to perform my duties and deliver high-quality results. I left the company in October 2023 due to the completion of the projects.
