About Brian Patton

I have enjoyed a 22 year career with the Bureau of Prisons in the Department of Justice. The last 15 years have been the most satisfying, having served as warden at the Federal Correctional Institution in Ashland, Kentucky, and the Federal Detention Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I have also served as the Administrator over the Program review Branch in Washington, DC and Administrator of Juvenile Services for the bureau. I have successfully worked every security level and have over 6 years experience in high security levels to include Lewisburg Penitentiary and Lompoc Penitentiary. The most rewarding part of my career has been working with the younger staff and sharing in their accomplishments and helping them realize their career goals. I am now looking forward to putting my skill set to the private sector. I pride myself with not being your typical government beauracrat, but being able to accomplish a mission while engaging all levels of staff to ensure buy in from top to bottom. I have been certified as a DOJ PREA auditor as of February 1, 2024. I can take your organization to the next level to help eradicate prison rape behind bars.
