About Brian Phipps

A passionate and motivated Special Education teacher with over 9 years of experience implementing individual interventions with children with disabilities including: Autism Spectrum Disorders, Attention Deficit (Hyperactivity) Disorder, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, social/emotional difficulties, Severe/Profound difficulty, and more. I have a strong conviction that every student can be successful especially when coupled with accurate data collection and appropriate evidence-based practices. I also believe children should be provided with independence building accommodations which could be best exemplified by assistive technology applications or self-monitoring behavior programs. Closely following major softwares releases and publications by prominent leaders in the field allows me to craft interventions using the best available resources and proven techniques. Witnessing the joy my students have when demonstrating knowledge or after successfully working hard to complete a goal brought me into Special Education. Proficient in both American Common Core Standards, as well as, UK curriculum. Humor and jokes have shown be to wonderful in building meaningful relationships with students and I am fueled by light-roast coffee.
