I am a Death-care Industry Professional. I began my career digging graves and doing various tasks at the Cemetery when I was 15. I have dedicated my entire life to this industry. I worked my way from that 15-year-old grave digger to Grounds Superintendent over the last 31 years. I learned and absorbed as much industry information that I could. I was trained by the best and when the best died I was honored to accept the role as Superintendent. I am certified to operate and repair all equipment. I am licensed for all new development according to New York state law, New York Cemetery Board and Municipalities to meet requirements with engineers, building inspections and wetland requirements. I can plan, survey (read and create blue prints, mapping and plotting) design and the construct private estates of various sizes, with that I am qualified to remove and rebuild structures, handle drainage, irrigation, design and develop. I am a proficient in welding, wiring and fabrication. I am certified in horticulture, flora culture, forestry, landscaping and lawn care according to city and state laws. I am a master at recruiting, hiring, training and maintaining a professional, proficient and respectful team. I attended all planning board meetings. maintained relationships with all our funeral homes and directors to ensure a cohesive, controlled funeral service. I am excellent at family service and I am the person phoned to come in when a counselor can not control or handle the family with the respect they deserve and together we create an arrangement that is doable and meets with Cemetery and State regulations. The family leaves satisfied and we do complete that task as promised to the family. I am fair, firm, accountable and consistent. The Shipper family has been unbelievable in my career with them. I will say they are all very knowledgeable, intelligent and professional in the industry.
