The development of such conditions allows a building to change over time and considers the life cycle of an architectural product. Material innovation often leads to unintended and remarkable alternative uses. By understanding the initial motivations for material development, one can gain insight into the potentials for it to be used in an alternative manner. In doing so, one must first come to know a material’s properties and the relationship between specifics and form in which it would generally take.
