About Brian Pollard
I am a PharmD Candidate for the year 2025 at the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers University, New Brunswick. I am also accepted into the Medicinal Chemistry Ph.D. dual degree program, which allows me to begin Ph.D. coursework and research while completing my PharmD. I intend to use these degrees to support my long-term goals to enter pharmaceutical and drug development R&D. My research experience includes studying potential prostate cancer treatments in vitro at Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center at Jefferson (Summer 2019), in Dr. Spencer Knapp's group developing antimalarials on Busch Campus at Rutgers (March 2020 - August 2023), and most recently in Dr. Jun Wang’s lab studying antiviral drug synthesis as part of my Ph.D. research in Medicinal Chemistry. I also work as a Pharmacy Intern at Costco Wholesale - Princeton, NJ.
