About Brian Poth

As a senior business leader, I am passionate about connecting strategy to execution, energy transition and growth. My career spans more than 25 years, working across Canada, US, Europe and Asia developing and executing strategy, leading transformation programs and nurturing high performing, inclusive teams in both project and operational roles. Experienced in running complex transformation programs, leading national consulting teams and nurturing relationships from front-line to C-suite, I have consistently grown and improved market and team engagement. I am a trusted advisor to senior leaders across the energy and utility ecosystem and have been fortunate to help capital intensive organizations improve their field service, asset management, customer experience, cyber security, technology and innovation capabilities. I believe that enabling new ways of working requires just as much focus on people as technology and that having a simple plan that works is better than a complex plan on paper. As a Board member, I take a lead on governance, cybersecurity and technology matters, with a focus on preparing the organization for emerging issues and risks. I love to learn and share knowledge with others, and have a track record of coaching, mentoring and leading by example to develop high performing teams. More recently, I've had the good fortune to work in academia as a sessional lecturer and help grow our next generation of leaders.
