About Brian Raty

I am a professional artist with three years experience. I graduated from BYU-Idaho with a Bachelor of Science in art, and a minor in history. What I love most in my art is in designing and narrating a story, a movie, or a game (be it board or video). My love of history has only enhanced, not detracted, from my art. I love to know the background behind the arts, the story, the message, and I try to implement this love of the past into what I design. This gives a further richness and depth of character and symbolism that we can subconsciously and consciously relate to as when we view beautiful artifacts. I primarily focus on illustration,(books, advertisements), and industrial design (concepts for environment and character design). But I also have designed some graphic design pieces, that, though not my emphasis of study, I feel competent in being able to produce.
