About Brian Reid

Hello my name is Brian Reid! Most people call me by my artist name "The Pride Artist" I have been creating LGBTQIAP related artwork for the past five years beginning in my AP art class my senior year of high-school. What started out as a simple art assignment has grown into a life changing project that has helped me stay true to myself as well as actively spread a message of acceptance, understanding, and equality in areas where the LGBTQIAP community are targeted for simply being themselves. While in college I began screen printing my imagery of The LGBTQIAP culture onto T-shirts and stickers that I now sell at LGBTQIAP related festivals, parades, and seminars. Many people attending these events have been able to directly identify with my imagery and appreciate the exposure specifically in the south where many LGBTQIAP people struggle to have a voice. When members and supporters of the community purchase my artwork or wear the clothes I have made they seem to gain a sense of confidence and have told me they feel better understood. Hearing this has inspired me to continue making new artwork as well as T-shirts and sticker designs to better service the LGBTQIAP community, increase our exposure, and become a positive voice for our culture.
