Background
About Brian Richards
I am a motivated & creative self starter with an appreciation for community and arts. I was owner and operator of Park City's Orion's Music Shop for twelve years until it closed in 2009. Prior to Orion's closing, I joined Mountain Town Music as a member of the Board of Trustees in 2004, holding positions of President, Vice President and Board Member at Large. I also served on the inaugural board of the Park City Film Series and coached girls softball at Park City High School. My experience both within the music industry and the community as well as my passion for music were the incentive for my desire to become the Executive Director of Mountain Town Music in 2006. Through the years, both as a Board Member and Executive Director, I have gained extensive experience with production, events, fundraising and have developed strong relationships within the community, which allow Mountain Town Music to continue to grow as an organization and as a musical resource.
