About Brian Ritchie

Brian is Counsel to the Firm in Stoll Keenon Ogden’s Lexington office and joined SKO in 2019. He focuses primarily on representing clients in employee benefits, ERISA, and other employment matters, but also contributes to the Business Services and Tax Law practice groups at the firm. An attorney with nearly 20 years of experience, Brian has worked with businesses and organizations of all sizes in all aspects of the ERISA and employee benefits field, including qualified retirement plans, health and welfare plans, executive compensation arrangements, employee benefit plans of governmental and tax-exempt employers, as well as ERISA litigation.He has extensive experience working with the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Labor on tax and ERISA compliance issues, respectively, including the representation of employers in IRS and DOL audits. He has particular expertise and experience in helping governmental entities and tax-exempt organizations navigate matters relating to their employee benefit plans. Brian has also represented clients in connection with litigation under the federal False Claims Act. For all clients, he takes a flexible and practical approach to solving problems and ensuring clients’ needs are fully met.
