About Brian Schafle

I take pride in my time in the Marine Corps as it drove the importance of leadership and professionalism into my development. I am always looking for opportunities to grow for myself and for those around me and believe that building strong relationships is paramount for a team to achieve their goals. I was working in the EHS field before I even realized it. I grew up the son of a bricklayer who owned his own company and he always stressed the importance of safe practices as he himself was the victim of a fall from heights before I was born. In the USMC, I was responsible for training Marines to fight in a nuclear or chemically contaminated environment.(Risk assessment, proper PPE, decontamination.) The Marine Corps was also my first exposure to managing Hazardous Waste, where I was initially trained in HAZWOPER and tasked with oversight of the waste program for our shop. Since these early days, my career has been one of constant development that reflects my commitment to hard work, dedication, focus and strategy. My dad used to tell me, “the day you stop learning is the day you die”. Here’s to another day of growth!
