About Brian Seever
Brian was introduced to the mechanical/maintenance side of pipe organs 5 years ago while working for David Beck, a free-lance organbuilder in the Toledo, Ohio, area. He progressed as Mr. Beck's tonal finishing assistant and was hired in 2013 by Quimby Pipe Organs, Inc. of Warrensburg, MO. He has had the opportunity to be involved with many aspects of building instruments, including voicing, leathering, maintenance, and the removal and installation of instruments on-sight. Previous to his joining Quimby Pipe Organs, Inc, Brian served as organist/music director of St. Paul Trinity United Methodist Church in Elmore, OH and staff choral accompanist for Morrison R. Waite High School in Toledo, OH. Along with pipe organs and music, Brian enjoys the German language and Germanic literature. His research interests include (historical) orthography, Austrian literature, Middle High German, naturalism (lit.), dramaturgy, social history, and queer theory.
