About Brian Sharar

Nineteen years with Clovis Unified. A career built on leadership, discipline, and impact. And now — the final chapter of one season, and the beginning of another. My path has never been small.I’ve led programs as Head Swimming Coach at Fresno Pacific University, the University of Toledo, and Western Illinois University. I’ve competed on the national stage as Head Assistant Coach at the University of North Carolina–Chapel Hill — where excellence wasn’t optional, it was expected. I earned my master’s in Physical Education (Human Performance) while teaching at the university level, grounding my leadership in both science and experience. For three years, I stepped into the world of financial services with MetLife — proving that leadership translates, whether on deck, in the classroom, or in the boardroom. But the greatest legacy? Family.Nancy and I raised three strong, independent kids who are now building their own lives across the West Coast. We’re proud. We’re grateful. And we’re embracing this next season with the same mindset that’s guided every chapter so far — move forward with purpose.Nineteen years. Countless lives impacted. And I’m not done yet.
