About Brian Shea

I'm an electrical engineer by training and renewables nerd by choice. I've been in and around electrification since before it was cool: EV work at Ford, high voltage DC distribution systems at Oshkosh, BESS subject matter expert at FTI. Looking back, it was obvious. At the time I was just following what was interesting. That's kind of how I operate. I'm most effective at the strategic level; spotting patterns, connecting dots across disciplines, and finding the opportunity hiding in the noise. My engineering background means I can do that without losing credibility in a room full of technical people. My take on renewables is pretty straightforward: it's new tech, it's more efficient, and it's one of the better shots we have at leaving this planet in decent shape. That's enough reason for me to stay invested. I'm currently doing technical strategic sourcing at FTI, bridging engineering and procurement, making sure the technical side and the business side aren't speaking in two different languages. It's newer territory for me, but I've never minded a learning curve, especially in such a cool industry! If you're doing serious work in clean energy: solar, storage, microgrids, whatever. I'm interested. Let's talk and build something together.
