About Brian Sigler

As long as I can remember, I have been attracted to technology and had a desire to understand what makes things work. I was able to do that by joining the U.S. Air Force and becoming an Aircraft Hydraulic Systems Specialist. It allowed me to learn how mechanical things worked and how to make broken parts work again. However, even before I joined the Air Force, I felt drawn to computers. I learned to program on an old Commodore VIC-20 in the mid 1980's and I took the few computer classes available in high school in the late 1980's. After joining the Air Force, I had friends who were also into computers and had much more experience than I did. It lit a fire in my mind and I absorbed as much information from them as I could and then set out on my own to learn and keep up with PC tech as a hobby. Even though it had to remain a hobby due to my military service commitment, my intent was to make IT my next career when I left the service. Once retired, I attended Texas State Technical College and received my AAS in Computer Networking Systems and Administration. I excelled in my studies, receiving both the Distinguished Graduate for CNS and the President's Award of Highest Honor for graduating with a 4.0 GPA. Now I am looking to put my skills to use in the private sector.
