Career Highlights • Building a self directed team of management and workers within Outage and Maintenance Services at Bruce Power. This team constantly exceeded targets and was also created with built in pull through the organisation for succession planning • Setting up a state of the art, world class OCC in both Bruce A and B that was instrumental in increasing outage quality and reducing execution timelines. • Creation of an initiative for one stop outage planning, execution and closeout. • Creation of the next Generation of Reactor Inspection Machines and tools that reduce Radiation dose to workers and execution times. • Creation of a business plan that provided detailed Outage Scope, Plans for the next 5 years and also till the end of life in 2064. • Negotiated and Implementated the first 4 crew schedule at Bruce Power providing 24/7 worker coverage at a saving of approx $5M per outage for an approx saving of $20M per year. • Execution of two Vacuum Building outages (4 Unit Shutdown) which set new Bruce Power and Canadian records. • Execution of over 50 planned Outages at Bruce Power • Negotiating two successive Collective agreements, within mandate with the company’s trade union. The latter setting the scene for Refurbishment and asset management till 2064. • Recovery of fire Damage Unit at Bruce Power and the first Stator and casing replacement of a Parsons machine. • Taking control of the Unit 1 and 2 refurbishment that was overspent and late and delivering both Units safely back to service with better than planned forced loss rate. • Delivering the Restart of Units 3 and 4 from extended layup back to service for less than $1Bn and a duration of under 3 years. • Working on Clinton Power Station restart and assisting with its return to Service.
