About Brian Stawarz

My experience in the human services field spans nearly 35 years, working initially in an out-state Mental Health Center within a hospital and in three Rule 29 Community Mental Health Centers in the Twin Cities Metro Area. I have greatly enjoyed working with colleagues within these agencies and the greater community with the goal of helping people improve the quality of their lives. I currently practice psychotherapy in two contexts; at a private mental health center with locations spanning the Twin Cities and through my private practice, part of a Wellness Center in Minneapolis. My private practice information is available on the therapist section of Psychology Today. I am also a musician by training and experience and about ten years ago went back in the studio to create a CD of my songs, written since 1987. Originally released in 1991 under the title "Songs of the Curious Child," the songs are now in CD form, with four new songs added and nearly all of the songs enhanced or with additions. The current CD is titled "Under the Man in the Moon's Knowing Eye," this being a song I wrote for my daughter before she was born. The songs and CD are available on "CD Baby," a website devoted to up- and- coming artists and on iTunes. I have worked to keep my music alive throughout my therapy career and I am very proud of this artistic effort, which includes the contributions of nearly 20 people over the years.
