About Brian Sterner

I lead Accenture’s Supply Chain & Operations (SC & O) practice for Australia and NZ. Our guiding purpose is to help our clients re-imagine and transform tomorrows supply chains to positively impact business, society and the planet. In my 20 years with Accenture I've had the privilege to work with many of the world’s largest, most innovative, and well respected companies to optimise, transform and grow their core businesses. I started my career in Oil & Gas, leading large-scale field workforce transformations, Operations Excellence, Digital Oilfield, and Operations readiness programmes for Capital Projects. That experience and understanding of physical supply chains, from the front office to the shop floor, prepared me well for the role i'm in today. Supply chains are taking centre stage as the engine room for new growth, providing needed agility and resilience to deliver next-new experiences customers demand. At the same time no other function has greater capacity to do so social and environmental good at scale. Outside of work I spend my time keeping fit with reformer Pilates, playing golf (poorly), skiing when global pandemics allow, and improving my chess game.
