About Brian Teets

Mr. Teets is a Managing Director with A&M's turnaround and restructuring practice. With over 15 years of experience, he has a proven track record of improving both financial and operational performance at every stage of the business life cycle. Mr. Teets has worked closely with senior management teams, executive boards, equity sponsors and other external counterparties in both an advisory and interim management capacity across multiple industries including oil & gas, financial services, manufacturing, metals and mining and retail. Most recently, Mr. Teets has been involved in numerous restructurings in the oil & gas industry including exploration & production, oilfield services, refining, and midstream. In this capacity, Mr. Teets has focused on Chapter 11 preparation, financial planning and analysis, liquidity and cash flow management, business plan development and implementation, operating cost/ SG & A reduction, asset divestitures, stakeholder negotiations and complex financial modeling. Previously, Mr. Teets served as the co-treasurer of the post-bankruptcy Lehman Brothers estate, where he was responsible for developing Lehman's 5 year liquidation plan and also managing the distribution of over $80 billion in creditor recoveries. Other notable engagements include The Rockport Group, Fedders Corp, Black Diamond Mining, and Crunch Fitness. He is an avid University of Michigan fan, as well as a supporter of Northwestern athletics, where he received his MBA in finance and strategy at the Kellogg School of Management.
