I have always a people person and a natural-born leader. Never being afraid to step forward when everyone else stands still is what I live by. I will always be the person to start the conversation or speak up when things need to be said. As a natural leader, strong teambuilding skills are a must. Teambuilding is like a puzzle, all the pieces are in front of you but putting everything together takes time, patience, and creative thinking. Building teams of SMEs to cover important system components relied on within an industry is my passion. Having always had a natural ability to connect with others, it is all about how you treat other people, and not only when you need them. Build strong relationships with others, be available, and approachable when help is needed. The favor will be returned. I believe that this includes all leadership as well. All leaders should be approachable, from first-line supervision to the vice president. I believe that to be a successful team, everyone has to play their role. The one role that the entire team needs to have is communication. Without communication, teamwork falls apart. When teamwork falls apart, safety, productivity, and investment with the overall vision all fall apart. Everyone plays a vital role in any industry, from top to bottom. the knowledge and ambition can be there, but without proper leadership, that knowledge may never be used effectively. It takes the entire leadership ladder to be successful.
