About Brian Webb

I am an entrepreneur, project manager, and energy data specialist with 25 years of industry experience in project management, E&P and geoscience data management, GIS, environmental research, and data analysis. I am open to collaborating with progressive companies involved in energy and data-related projects. In 2020, I founded Switchable to help clients save money on their domestic electricity and gas bills. I am an Enterprise Ireland New Frontiers Phase 2 alumni from IADT Media Cube / NovaUCD and incorporated Switchable Energy Ltd in July 2023. Switchable.ie has recently had a revamp with new products and services but with the same goal of reducing your domestic energy bills. At Hikari and Compass Informatics, I successfully project managed and delivered multiple long and short-term environmental, wind, transport, and data projects. I have lead teams of BAs, data analysts, scrum masters, earth observation developers and.NET developers to deliver quality spatial products, web platforms, Power BI dashboards and data insights. I have created TOs, SoWs, project plans, resource plans, risk registers, financial forecasts, and reports for internal management and external stakeholders. I am experienced in supporting a range of geotechnical interpretation systems and databases. Working in the oil & gas exploration industry at Schlumberger, BP and Tullow Oil, the positions required strong attention to detail, technical expertise, and an ability to efficiently communicate with internal and external teams in the delivery of multi-million dollar data projects in high-pressure environments. Building on a previous MSc in GIS and MSc in Environmental Resource Management, in 2021, I completed a Higher Diploma in Data Analytics achieving a 1st Class Honours grade. In 2023, I attained PRINCE2 Foundation certification.
