There was once a time when barbers took great pride in their professional image and the image of their shop. Barbers were prominent businessmen and community leaders. There was a standard of excellence that was desirable by shop owners, service providers and the clients who they served. I want White's Barber Co. to be that beacon to the barbering industry and to the communities we serve. The desire to provide a higher level of barbering service to people who want to be treated well inspired me to start White’s Barber Co. White's is more than a barbershop. We are a resource hub for our community. In addition to the confidence that our guests feel at White’s, there is also the benefit of positive human interaction and valuable information sharing. We understand the importance of the service we provide; we keep our skills refreshed, our knowledge up to date and share freely as a part of our service to our community. At the height of achievement and being one of a few pioneering for standards of business in the barber industry, the vision for White's was put under strain. It took sheer grit and determination to avert and survive an attempt at a hostile takeover in 2017. I strategized and navigated my loyal staff through two restructuring endeavors from 2017-2019. White's emerged like a phoenix from the ashes after a smear campaign conducted by disgruntled departed staff members. In 2020, we were all challenged by the global pandemic that was the corona virus. We navigated through this difficult time courageously while protecting and ensuring the safety and health of our loyal guests. I was also fortunate to be able to parlay a whole new career during this time. Sandow Construction provided the opportunity to get on the front lines in the fight against the corona virus. My father and my uncle were both honorable and respectable men who were regarded as the patriarchs of their immediate and extended families. They were also two of my biggest supporters. They invested in me and were loyal clients of mine as well. They have both transitioned now. However, I know that they poured into me because they believed in me in my business. At White's Barber Co. our mission is to provide quality service in a family friendly environment. I take pride in the fact that mothers are comfortable bringing their children here. I love that guests enjoy the audio and video selections at White's Barber Co. We play music that creates a nostalgic experience. I want folks to feel like they have come to visit family and just so happen to get a haircut while there.
