After nearly 4 years as a mechanical engineering student, I took my first programming class and never looked back. I quickly switched majors and continued on to earn my BS in Computer Science. I always assumed the life of a software engineer to be quite boring - sitting all day staring at a screen. I was so wrong. As a student, I was fascinated at the types of problems one must solve in this line of work; and at my first intern position, I was happy to find that those problems are often best solved in collaboration with other engineers.When I'm not at work, I can be found outside playing volleyball or riding my bike. All of my vacation days are used for travel. I studied abroad for 3 months in college and have been in love with travel since.
