About Brianna Bace

Brianna Bace is a project manager and researcher at the SUNY Research Foundation and an adjunct lecturer at the University at Albany, where she previously earned an MPA with a focus on cybersecurity, as well as a B.A. in Emergency Preparedness, Homeland Security, and Cybersecurity (EHC), and Political Science. Prior to graduating, Brianna was a fellow in the Department of Defense’s VICEROY Program. Brianna is actively involved in the academic and professional cyber community. She is a member of the Society of Risk, and she recently presented her research at the Military Cyber Professionals Association (MCPA)’s 3rd Annual HammerCon and the 18th Annual Symposium on Information Assurance (ASIA) at the Annual New York State Cybersecurity Conference. Brianna holds a CompTIA Security+ certification, which underscores her technical proficiency and commitment to industry standards in cybersecurity. She has also published articles in reputable journals on several critical topics, including catastrophic cyber risk management, the applicability of international law on cyberattacks, and the cybersecurity of the space sector. In June 2024, Brianna was selected as a 2024-2025 Yale Law School Launchpad Scholar and plans to apply to law school upon completing the program. Her passion lies at the intersection of technology and law, with a particular focus on cyber law. By pursuing a legal degree, she aims to address emerging challenges in cyberspace and advocate for a safer, more secure, and equitable digital landscape for all. Hailing from the Adirondacks, Brianna loves the outdoors, playing soccer, reading, and spending time with her family.
