About Brianna Curran

Brianna Curran is the Director of Executive Public Engagement at Environmental Defense Fund, working to create a comprehensive strategy for EDF's speakers at thought leadership convenings and multilateral events to deliberately, consistently and thoughtfully elevate EDF’s highest priority work and establish global leadership on key issues. Her role includes writing and curating speeches and talking points for EDF executive speaking engagements, facilitation of executive leadership preparation in advance of appearances and media interviews, and leading on executive public engagement and thought leadership strategy. Prior to joining Environmental Defense Fund, she worked for the Aspen Institute's Office of Curriculum and Moderators, working to train the Institute's extensive Moderator Corps on dialogue facilitation approaches among socially-minded, high-integrity leaders. Brianna graduated with an M.A. from Georgetown University with a degree in International Conflict Resolution, focusing on mediation and dialogue facilitation, particularly in refugee and humanitarian crisis settings. She is the founder of an organization called Half of Humanity, which is dedicated to sending culturally appropriate menstrual hygiene products to people in Syrian refugee camps and field hospitals. Brianna has been recognized for her entrepreneurial and humanitarian efforts by the Center for Development and Strategy as one of their "30 Under 30" Leaders in Development and Sustainability.
