Hi Everyone, Welcome to my profile! I’m a Newly Graduated Student from BCIT's BSN program, with a passion for advocacy, research, public health, and health and wellness. My experience as a research assistant in global health projects in Costa Rica and Canada has deepened my commitment to improving access to culturally safe care, implementing critical race analysis in healthcare systems, and improving maternal and newborn outcomes. As I embark on a new journey in healthcare, I will build foundational knowledge and skills in internal medicine, then pivot to outpatient services, such as: medical aesthetics, perinatal education, and much more. I aim to enhance the quality of care for the general Canadian population in acute medicine, and enhance the birthing experiences of women of color by reducing adverse outcomes, implementing evidence-based care plans with a patient-centred approach, and reducing newborn mortality using evidence-based care and advocacy.
