About Brianna Justus

For my primary job as a Wellness Coordinator, I get the pleasure of serving the employees of Asheville Eye Associates by heading the Wellness Program. My main purpose and goal is to give the employees the tools, skills, accountability, and education needed to lead healthier lives and decrease AEA's overall healthcare expenditures. Our program is specifically designed to incentivize employees who either maintain a healthy lifestyle or make strides to improve their current lifestyle. I also serve as the head of the Wellness Champions; a group of 8 employees who act as the grassroots of our company. These employees provide ideas and advice to better our Wellness Program each year and gives us an additional push to gain more support and participation. In addition to being a Wellness Coordinator, I am a certified ophthalmic assistant, COA, which gives me the opportunity to work up patients, scribe for the doctor, schedule surgery, complete prior authorization for insurance, and train new employees. Away from AEA, I am a financial coach and health education and motivational blogger at Justus Shares working directly with my community and social circle. Last but not least, my favorite job is being a wife and a mother making progress of conquering the constant balance between work and home. I'm an advocate for being at a healthy weight, breastfeeding, preventing second hand smoke, eliminating childhood obesity, and becoming debt free.
