About Brianna Patnode

I go to Tartan High School, and live in Oakdale and Maplewood. I am in a lot of programs at Tartan such as Deca, HAC, Relay for life, and softball but the one that has meant the most to me and I believe to teach me the most is deca. Deca is a class in school for people thinking about pursuing careers in entrepreneurship and/or marketing, making them more prepared for that direction by having competitions where you put those skills to the test. Deca means a lot to me because so far it's taught me a lot of leadership skills and good responsibility habits all while preparing me for my career path. What I want to do when I graduate high school is go to St. Thomas to study and get my degree in business then after that it's been my dream since I was little to move out to California. With that being said, after I graduate from St. Thomas I want to move to California and go to Berkeley to study pre law then hopefully while in college there get an internship for a sports agency. After i graduate from Berkeley I would like to become a very successful sports agent and live out a great future. Deca connects with all of this because with everything I learn from deca I am ahead of many people in college who don't know much about business and on top of that i've learned a lot of leadership skills which can be very crucial in becoming a sports agent since your in charge of your clients and getting them whatever they want and need. I believe deca has set me up for the future I want and I have the ability to be as successful as I want to be one day.
