About Brianna Sonson

As a junior at Bentley University, I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Economics-Finance and a Liberal Studies Major concentration in Media Arts and Society. My analytic mindset mixed with my passion of media culture will help me in a challenging position in the business world that will be a combination of my two major interests. Coming from an outgoing and energetic family, I have always seen the importance of public speaking and leadership roles in one's life. My experience as a volunteer dance teacher to three-year-old girls has taught me how to manage people of all ages and how to be patient with others. Also, being the treasurer of my high school Student Council taught me how to be responsible when making monetary choices and decisions. Both of these experiences, among others, have inspired me to pursue a degree in the finance world as well as the new, energetic studies of media and society. Currently, my work experience includes the Bentley University Annual Fund as a Phonathon Supervisor. As a caller, I used my persuasive public speaking skills to receive pledges from alumni and parents who want to give back to the University. During this experience, I gained the knowledge and advice of Bentley alumni as they help build my sales and communication skills as well. As a supervisor, I am in charge of managing other phonathon callers and help guide them through their own phonathon experience.
