About Brianne Cate

I am a passionate, idealistic individual employed in the nonprofit sector - specifically in a development capacity, as I've accumulated the greatest amount of experience in that sector and because I believe my passion for it can be utilized for the farthest-reaching impact. Because of my numerous experiences abroad, I'm very interested in international human rights' advocacy, but am also vested in environmental policy and conservation efforts, education reform, empowering women and girls, advocating for those with development disabilities, and poverty alleviation and have dedicated years of work and volunteering to these causes. Aside from a passion for social justice, I've been involved in intensive demographics research, specifically concerning issues such as de-population, migration, groups' relative growth, the gender gap, and youth bulges in the developed world and its affect on interstate war. I also hold an intense love for writing, and have written many short stories on an online blog and plan on writing a full-length novel after sufficient practice with editing.
