I'm an experienced information professional and academic librarian, who has worked in a number of varied roles over my career, constantly building new skills and expertise in parallel fields. Currently I work in the fields of academic copyright and scholarly publishing, and do research on research, as well as the myriad ways copyright intersects with creative remuneration and the oligopolies of scholarly publishing. I thrive on challenges, and meet them with an approach based on the strategic alignment of knowledge management goals, a proactive ‘get it done’ attitude, a personable nature, and a cheerful and resourceful outlook on problem solving. One of the nicest things an employer ever told me was that I was known throughout the office as a 'safe pair of hands' for any project, no matter how simple, complex, or time-crunched.
