The majority of my experience in Information Technology has been as IT Manager for the City of Soldotna with the following responsibilities: • Lead IT department operational and strategic planning, including fostering innovation, planning projects, and organizing and negotiating allocation of resources. • Manage and perform the design, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including local and wide area networks, servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software applications, and peripherals. • Oversee provision of end-user services, including helpdesk and technical support services. • Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standardization, purchasing, and service provision. • Develop cybersecurity threat intelligence, risk analysis, and vulnerability management products as well as make recommendations for mitigation. • Negotiate and administer vendor, outsourcing, and consultant contracts and service agreements. I strongly encourage the utilization of IT potential to empower others to perform necessary IT functions in a simple, efficient, and secure manner, allowing them to spend less time worrying about the IT aspect of their respective field so they can focus more on innovation and strategy.
