About Brice Hinkle

I have a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Mathematics. I am interesting in studying the positive and negative effects of religious/spiritual (R/S) practices, beliefs, values, etc. on individuals, close relationships, communities, and societies. I enjoy collaborating with bright scholars with interesting ideas.My time at Roanoke College taught me how to read scientific literture, write my own, work as a team-member, and perform statistical analyses with SPSS.Having grown up in a Methodist church and attended a protestant school, I became immersed in Christian theology. While attending Roanoke, I took an interest in eastern philosophy and became familiar with many conceptsf from Hinduism, Buddhism, and Toaism.I learned throughout my career about the help that people need to deal with misfortune, pain, and misery. Now I have become interested in the mechanisms by which aspects of R/S increase well-being.
