Background

About Bridget Colacchio

As an executive leader, social work practitioner, and educator, I specialize in designing values-aligned systems that empower people and organizations to thrive in mutually uplifting partnerships. In my work and through my scholarship, I love to demonstrate how mission can come alive while creating and facilitating justice-oriented systems and frameworks that humanize the way we grow, learn, and lead. With 18+ years of experience in higher education, and social work teaching, practice and research, I have learned that intentional, authentic relationships that build trust cannot help but promote success and well-being. I’ve led award-winning initiatives that elevate performance, foster inclusive learning, and turn aspirational values into everyday practices. I thrive when agility is needed to respond to times of complexity, change, and technological acceleration, and have demonstrated how impactful the resulting innovations can be: developing learning and development programs (that were data-informed, mission-aligned, and human-centered) like the nation’s first anti-racist pedagogy certificate program and a faculty-facing AI development initiative. I’m especially energized by mission-driven organizations - that see people not just as contributing means to an end but as whole humans to be supported, developed, and celebrated - and by humanistic inquiry into the conditions, connections and behaviors that promote human flourishing, especially in this moment of exponential technological growth and global political tumult.
