About Bridget Conneely
Bridget is a wildlife ecologist with a strong background in international conservation and the use of digital media and GIS to communicate about conservation. Bridget is currently a Program Officer at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute's BioInteractive team. In this role, she develops interactive media, such as websites, maps, and data visualizations, to teach environmental science and conservation concepts in the classroom.Bridget has utilized GIS tools to support conservation projects through her work with the Gorongosa Restoration Project, Wildlife Conservation Society Canada, World Wildlife Fund, and the National Park Service. Bridget seeks out opportunities to develop her GIS skills through academic courses, professional training, conferences, and volunteering for any GIS project she can lend a hand with. Bridget has also built interactive maps and data visualizations to communicate and educate about science and conservation topics.Bridget earned an MSc. in Zoology from the University of British Columbia in 2011 and a BSc. in Wildlife Ecology from the University of Maine in 2003.
