About Bridget Day
I am a fourth-year student pursuing a BA in Global Studies with minors in Poverty, Inequality, and Social Justice and Black Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara. I study how globalization has shaped social issues across the world and the global nature of the political economy. I am particularly interested in the unique forms of oppression experienced by women of color, the inequitable effects of climate change, immigrant rights, reproductive justice, and labor issues. My internships with CAUSE and SEIU Local 620 have deepened my interest in these subjects, and I look forward to pursuing related opportunities. I plan on applying to law school and am eager to gain more field experience to further my understanding of the intersection of law and social justice.
