About Bridget Fordham

I have held a number of senior nursing posts within my 30 years of nursing and have extensive experience at presenting to large audiences through work with the NHS collaboratives and through my previous roles as a Dementia & Delirium lead nurse. I was fortunate to be given the opportunity to set up initiatives to achieve the Pan London and first National CQUIN for Dementia, this included working collaboratively to develop a series of training films, Barbara's story, to raise awareness and drive kind and compassionate care through an organisation of staff. I have been a nurse for 30 years and remain as passionate now as I did then. I believe in the vital role the nurse plays in the safety and wellbeing of the patient and the family. We must never underestimate the the value and benefit of fundamental care, bedside skills and knowing the person / family you are giving care to.
