About Bridgette Mikkelson

Bridgette Mikkelson is a Speech Language Pathologist who is licenced under the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs Board of Speech-Language Pathology and who is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She graduated with a Masters of Arts from Wayne State University. Her undergraduate degree is from the same Detroit University where she graduated with a B.A. in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Business Administration. Currently she has had experience in schools both private and public as well as a private practice at an Applied Behavior Analysis center. She loves empowering families and providing the best care possible for their little ones to ensure a prosperous future. Her father encouraged her, at a young age, to ask questions. He inspired her to be fearless through the learning process and to value the beauty of the little details in life. Bridgette looks up to her hard working yet kind mother and her intelligent younger brother. Between family meals and time together, Bridgette’s family and friends support her life ambitions with high fives and tea. Lilly is her black cat, which promotes Bridgette to balance her busy life with frequent breaks, snacks, and exercise. Listening to her cat, she spends her free time being with friends and family (locally and nationally). She is a member of multitude of Speech and Language organizations (i.e. MSHA and ASHA) and enjoys growing herself mentally and physically with Zumba, yoga, and gardening. She is a person who loves to organize, cook/bake, read, and jam to music. She looks forward to brightening and making an impact in the world one moment or child at a time.
