About Brien Connolly

Brien P. Connolly joined the law firm of Avery, Dooley & Noone in the fall of 1992, as a general practitioner in the areas civil litigation, residential real estate transactions, probate of estates, and criminal defense. An Associate of the firm, Mr. Connolly’s practice focuses on labor and employment law defending federal employees, agencies, and managers against claims of workplace misconduct in litigation before various administrative bodies. Mr. Connolly handles matters before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, including matters of discrimination and reprisal; administrative appeals to the Merit Systems Protection Board; claims of prohibited personnel practices; and whistleblower retaliation. In addition, Mr. Connolly represents union members in arbitration hearings throughout the United States. Mr. Connolly is a past president of the Cambridge, Arlington, Belmont Bar Association, and member of the Massachusetts Bars Association’s Labor and Employment Section. A 1989, Magna Cum Laude graduate of Assumption College, Mr. Connolly graduated from New England Law Boston in 1992, and was admitted to practice law in Massachusetts and to the United States District Court, District of Massachusetts.
