I currently teach ENG 1510, freshman composition, and am the Assistant Director of Composition at Ohio University in Athens, OH. Since 2009, I've taught a variety of college writing courses as well as introductions to literature and food discourse. Additionally, I've taught diversity and humanities classes that focus on American culture and perspectives to international, L2, and TRIO students. I tutored international graduate students in a writing lab, train new TAs and adjuncts, write and revise curriculum, and apply assessment. Most of my time in higher education has been spent working with rural and first generation learners. Outside of academe, I offer freelance technical writing and organizational management consulting to a variety of businesses ranging from pizza joints to veterinary clinics.
