As a pharmacist with 14 years' experience at high volume, community pharmacies I am no stranger to communication. I value engaging in conversation and actively listening to what is important to every patient, as they are the reason I became a pharmacist. Utilizing a customer-centric approach, a process where the customer is my highest priority, I provide exceptional customer service at the point of sale nurturing trustworthy relationships. Being readily available to problem-solve issues is another positive aspect to this approach, as it is effective in conflict resolution. Most importantly, this is an opportunity to encourage patients to take ownership of their own health using positive approaches and providing education to those wanting to get the most out of their medication. Effective communication opens up the opportunity to new pharmacy services that promote healthy living. I accomplish profitability beyond traditional settings by providing various clinical services, health and wellness screenings, HIV and MTM compliance, as well as customized compounds. One interesting fact about myself is I am actively studying traditional Chinese medicine and herbal remedies, as I would like to expand my expertise beyond conventional medicine. I am passionate about sharing all of my labors with others; therefore, I have established myself as a mentor and educator to pharmacy students and other health sciences students.
