About Brigit Keating

During my time as a student at Virginia Tech, I've taken advantage of some incredible opportunities: embarking on the Hokie Storm Chase in 2021, becoming the President of the Virginia Tech Meteorology Club, and becoming a member of the Chi Epsilon Pi Meteorological Honor Society. I also had the privilege of working alongside some peers in the meteorology program and the Blacksburg NWS office on the Virginia Tech Mesonet Project where I gained insight on how citizen science and forecasting go hand in hand. This past academic year, I've also gained experience working with Python while conducting undergraduate research and undertook several projects using ArcGIS. I'm actively seeking a full-time position as an operational meteorologist where I can learn, be challenged every day, and leave a lasting impact.
