About Brigite Silva

Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Mathematics from the “Universidade de Coimbra” in Portugal in the year 2004 and 2013 respectively. Postgraduate degree in “Information and Communication Technologies and Multimedia” from the “Instituto Superior de Línguas e Administração Leiria” in the year 2011. In Portugal I’ve worked as a Mathematics and IT teacher. During the last 9 years I’ve teached mathematics, statistics and also Informatics. Besides teaching, I also worked in the industry on sales and human resources management during 2 years. I speak fluent Portuguese and French, and during the last 2 years I’m having intensive German lessons and I also had English lessons. To become proficient in German is my goal, I consider it vital for my private and professional life in Switzerland. I like to think of myself as a dynamic person with a constant will of always learning more. Currently I'm looking for a new job and at the same time I'm studying Statistics at Neuchatel University. Despite my passion for Mathematics, I'm not restricting my job search to this area. My professional experience in non-Mathematics areas allowed me to learn that exploring "green fields" can give the most exciting and challenging feeling.
