About Brigitte Stephenson
Since the age of fourteen, I have sought and obtained positions in the education and preservation of American History in a working or volunteering capacity. My first experience in outreach was as a registered park services historical interpreter for Fort Clinch at Amelia Island, FL devoting over 300 hours of volunteering. It was there I first learned how inspiring it can be to educate visitors through a historically accurate and engaging interpretation as a laundress working at a Union campsite. More recently, I completed a summer internship with Pebble Hill Plantation in Thomasville, GA. This internship strengthened my skills in educational programming and promotion, and also increased my desire to obtain a career in this field.
