About Briony Cole

Director and Co-Founder of Cognition Creative Learning CIC—an award-winning social enterprise (Tech South West Awards 2023 & 2024) delivering hands-on STEM learning across Cornwall and Devon. Founded in 2020, our mission is to make STEM engaging, enjoyable, accessible, and relevant for all learners, especially those in remote or underserved areas. My work spans three core areas- STEM Educator, Workshop Leader and Designer I design and lead creative, curriculum-linked workshops that encourage problem-solving, teamwork, and confidence through playful learning. I work with children, educators, and organisations to bring STEM to life in a way that’s both meaningful and memorable- Industry Engagement & Social Value I build strong relationships and collaborate with forward-thinking businesses to increase STEM engagement, raise awareness of local career pathways, and build social value in underserved and remote communities. From co-designed workshops to career-linked challenges, I help bridge the gap between education and employment- Curriculum Design & School Support We work in partnership with schools to design bespoke, play-based learning experiences that embed STEM skills and bring real-world relevance into the classroom. Our sessions are designed to support educators, engage students, and align with both curriculum goals and local needs. I also serve as a FIRST® LEGO® League regional host and MC (North Cornwall & North Devon), a Faraday Challenge Leader, and a strong advocate for equity and creativity in education.
