MY CAREER JOURNEY > Joining Javelin Group as an opinionated shopaholic, straight out of Oxford University, was a brilliant and fortunate start to my career. Being a Consulting Manager with a rapidly growing practice, gave me opportunities to work in strategic retail consultancy in the UK, US, Europe and Australia specialising in digital and omnichannel retail. The desire to practice what I was preaching and put my skills to the test in the real world, drove me to join Oasis as Head of Digital, being promoted 15 months later to Customer Director. Fortunately, my prior consultancy experience was well grounded and we saw great success over the years at Oasis. I moved to Kurt Geiger to hone my brand strategy skills and gain more international experience working across a portfolio of brands from value pure-play to pure luxury. Core to my retail career has always been digital, customer experience and marketing, all are essential in my current role leading a highly entrepreneurial consumer health tech startup which also requires operational expertise, financial acumen and excellent people management. OUTSIDE OF WORK > I enjoy fitness and food; I'm constantly trying to balance the two. I’m a total cat lady (to Tinker & Belle in case you were wondering). I’m in the throes of a house renovation and miraculously still on good terms with our builders and my partner, demonstrating strong negotiation, patience and diplomacy skills. I love Formula One and am currently defending pole position in the family fantasy F1 league, where strategic thinking, attention to detail (and luck) are crucial.
