About Brit Harb

When I was 19, I was on top of the world. Not metaphorically- I literally packed my bags and moved to Norway, one of the most northern countries in the world. Despite the fear of moving to a country where I knew no one and I didn't speak the language, I dove right in. I learned Norwegian to fluency (I definitely did not feel on top of the world when I opened my first Norwegian book), I made friends, and I learned a lot about human centered life. Starting life from scratch in a new country inspired me to dive deeper into human behavior leading me toward psychology and ethnography. Now I have a bachelors degree of science in psychology! However, my life in Norway left me passionate about human experiences in conjunction with the beauty of life, creation, and nature (I am not kidding here, just google Norway and scroll through some pictures). This lead me to push myself further into the realm of creation and human experience. I landed on user experience design and I could not have found a better fit. My background in psychology fits seamlessly into the UX world. I have a solid understanding of memory, information processing and cognitive biases which helps guide my design choices. I currently work as a senior product designer at Toast, where I am passionate about diving deep into the discovery in order to produce top of the line experiences for my users. I am constantly discovering new ways to ensure my users’ success while simultaneously ensuring company success and growth.
