About Brit Powell

Brit founded Wolfe in 2016 out of a personal struggle to find clothing made in Canada. Her prior experience in photography, design, and fashion journalism equipped her with the tools necessary to wear multiple hats during the early growth phase of the brand. Wanting to meet and talk with Canadians about the importance of Canadian production, Wolfe purchased a 1997 Airstream and retrofitted the interior to be a mobile storefront; the vehicle which would allow Brit and her team to tour the country, spreading the importance of domestic manufacturing, one t-shirt at a time. Three years into the journey; Wolfe managed 50+ events, met thousands of customers, and changed a few flat tires along the way. In 2020, Brit put the brand's roots down in Muskoka, Ontario; parking the Airstream at the company's new Ontario warehouse and distribution centre. Shortly after, Wolfe opened its Flagship Canadian storefront (2021); transforming former Toronto Dominion Bank into an extraordinary, one of a kind square-foot retail space. Wolfe has since grown its line of Canadian-made clothing and home goods; with customers in every province and territory of Canada; as well several countries abroad. Brit continues to work closely on the brand's development out of the Muskoka Flagship location, focusing her priorities on editorial photography as well as graphic and product design. In addition to running her own company, Brit works as the marketing coordinator for Fresh City Farms, Mama Earth Organics, Mabel's Bakery, and The Healthy Butcher.
