About Britanee Kane

Hi, I am Britanee Kane and completed my PhD in International Crime and Justice from Florida International University, which research emphasis areas in juvenile justice, human trafficking, crimes against women and children and violent extremism. I proudly represent my publication on Somali piracy and the work in Kiev to develop better strategies to respond to violence against children via collaboration with several government and NGO professionals to gain better insight of the situation of child protection in Ukraine. Furthermore, I wrote and submitted a white paper to ICITAP, which proposed the Barnahus model as a better strategy to address child sexual abuse and exploitation. In addition, while developing relationships with several professionals working on international child rights/protection issues.
